Bubonic Plague

If you haven’t heard, the Bubonic plague has been contracted by a few campers in Yosemite National Park. I find it incredible, however, that a disease that killed such a vast number of people during its massive strike hundreds of years ago is now so curable with treatment. It is a testament to the advancements in the medical field and very lucky for the people contracting it in current times.
Highlighting the Impact of Student Research at CI
Student research is integral to the student-centered education we seek to realize at Channel Islands. Studies demonstrate that student research improves retention and raises graduation rates, and helps to close achievement gaps. Student research promotes “deep learning” among students, preparing them with the critical thinking skills needed for success in life and career.
