Fixing end cap for Open ROV 2..
Today me and Amanda got a start of fixing the end caps on the Open ROV 2.7 model. We had to fix the wires inside also because the old ones were corroded.

Physical examination includes assessing for numbness and tingling in the fingers, loss of grip, pain over the ventral aspect of the wrist with possible radiation to the palm and fingers, tight or swollen feeling in the hand, and/or temperature changes. Tinel’s sign is assessed by percussing lightly over the median nerve. A positive test reports tingling, numbness, or pain at the site. Phalen’s sign test requires that the patient holds out their hands in front of him/her and flexes the wrist followed by dropping the hands down for 60 seconds. Report of tingling, numbness or pain indicates a positive test.
Limitations related to mobility include pain, numbness, paresthesia, and weakness along the median nerve affecting the thumb, index, and middle finger. Commonly seen is night pain and clenching upon awakening.
Patient teaching includes: minimizing excessive wrist movements (wringing, gripping and squeezing); using a wrist splint to rest the nerves and help the wrist maintain a neutral position; taking quick breaks and performing hand exercises that rotate and stretch the palm and fingers; and asking the doctor if surgery is an option-surgery can help relieve pressure, and prevent permanent nerve and muscle damage.

After finally receiving a repose for Professor Perchuck, we have the necessary information to start the other poster, I was assigned to do the poster because I have been doing the other past two so far. The images for this poster are too colorful and it has been very difficult to make it look serious and medieval. I decided to do a photomontage with the 4 images, and a black background and granite texture to make it more serious looking. I posted my first draft on Trello to get some feedback from my classmates, I personally thing i need to find another way to show these colorful and funny images in a more serious and scholarly look.

S1000 Octocopter is Near Completion
Our new aerial unit, the DJI S1000 Octocopter, is only a couple of tweaks away from completion. This unit was added to our ESRM aerial library to allow our new LiDAR unit to be used. The LiDAR unit will allow students to make 3D maps that have an accuracy greater than 1 cm/pixel, which is even better than our already great 3D mapping tool – the DJI Inspire 1. For my capstone, I will be doing a comprehensive comparison of 3D map creation using the LiDAR, the DJI Inspire 1, and even using the traditional survey method. This project should allow future 3D mappers and surveyors to quickly determine whether dishing out the few extra thousand dollars is really worth it for achieving the great accuracy created through using the LiDAR. Updates will be reported as I progress through this interesting project, whether they are more trials and tribulations, or when I finally see some success.

After class we had some critics from the instructor about Active Planet Kids illustrations for Gorge. I in particular was asked to improve my backgrounds so they reflect a better perspective. The other one need it to reflect a more iconic place in India were the Dalai Lama is being welcome. I decided to add some more detail to my first background were is suppose to represent the inside of the temple where the Dalai Lama prays. I made some changes to the mats where the people pray with him so they play a better perspective on the scene. I also add some more contrast to the design texture added to the throne so the one is the background doesn’t mix with it. I added some wood texture to the floor because is the material is build the temple, well at lest the floor. For the second background I had at first a plane mountain background. To give more Indian feeling to that region I’m trying to illustrate, I research some images from the region and I found out that building big temple like houses on the edge of the mountain is a common practice in there. I decided to illustrate the same practice they do by adding temple like structures to my mouthing I previously design.

IV Article
I know you are practicing IV push medications in simulation, but not in the clinical setting. However, you may witness nurses practicing in the clinical setting and have opportunities to learn from those experiences.

10/24/16 CAPSTONE 499
Today, I finalize the poster number 3 for professor Perchuck, I decided to use the larger image (a large church )with more negative space to balk out the entire folder. By doing so I could include the other more busy images into the collage/ photo montage. I decided to place the 3 other images to the right of the poster so the image of the lecture speaker is balance with he images, because the image of the speaker is in the lower left corner. I believe my poster has a nice balance and as always the images are the main focus for the viewer. That way we can get the attention of the viewer more efficiently than just having text with different colors. I posted my design in Trello for feedback from my teammates. They said just to play little bit more with the position of the title, as well professor Perchuck said similar comments. After all the revisions I upload my final poster as a .JPG for the professor. I believe is now sent for printing.
