I am still trying to figure out how to use this website, but I am excited to see where it takes me. With technology taking up so much of our lives these days, I believe that using this website to discuss up to date nursing research as well as for my own resume is a great idea. I am a little nervous about getting used to this system. Although, with more practice it will only get easier.

Update for Week 2

Michelle and I have been watching for submissions of your CI Keys website for class. Since we have not received any urls, we went back and checked our directions. We realized a step was missing. Please follow the below directions.
- Go to cikeys.com to and click Get Started. You will be prompted to login with your CI credentials.
- Create your domain name. It will look like this, xxxx.cikeys.com. This name should be professional and appropriate for the academic setting. It does not have to be your name, but can be.
- Follow directions from this point forward on the video tutorials from the support site. The videos will walk you through installing word press and posting your first entry. We look forward to seeing the themes you choose and learning a bit more about you from your first post.

This post begins a new adventure, sparking the start of nursing school year 2. To kick off this Tuesday, I began with a hike in the beautiful Santa Barbara foothills on a classic favorite trail, Inspiration Point. It is the perfect hike; short, strenuous, and beautiful that peaks with a beautiful view of all of Santa Barbara. On a clear day you can see all the way to the Channel Islands across the ocean. One of the best websites to find details of Inspiration Point, or any hike in Santa Barbara for that matter, is santabarbarahikes.com. The rest of today is to be filled with oh so fun reading in my medical-surgical nursing textbook. Overall though, a great start to a Tuesday!

/in /by Marisa FloresHi! My name is Marisa. I am a transfer student from Santa Barbara City College. This is a my first semester here at CSUCI and I am a communications major. So far I am enjoying my classes and getting used to all the green grass. I am originally from Santa Paula, so I am used to this heat. I love cats, but unfortunately I don’t have one. It upsets me greatly. I love to swim; my favorite stroke being the butterfly. I play two instruments: the clarinet and the alto sax. I have played classical clarinet and jazz sax. My favorite genre to play is swing. I recently got into painting, so I hope to pursue that, and continue to get better. I love to read. Some of my favorite books are John Dies at the End, The Book Thief, Shadow of the Wind, and Unwind. I also love to do mine, and if able, do my friends nails. Sometimes I go really artsy fartsy and make very intricate designs. I like to eat and sometimes cook food. If I have friends over I will most likely cook them something rather than order something out. What I mainly know how to cook is Mexican food. All my mother’s recipes.
